The Flavorful Crew, a name born from a group of eclectic individuals who was passionate in their collective desire to serve the needs of the Harlem Community.  In 1995, James Hall, Clarice Hall and Belford Whitted, members of the Psalms Excelling singing group, were blessed with the spiritual vision to more than sing: but to bridge.


Since that time, in addition to entertaining and educating the educating the Harlem Community through their annual Gospel and Jazz programs, the Flavorful Crew has provided parents in the community with self-empowerment workshops and seminars on matters of finance, health education and personal development.


​Original and current members of the Flavorful Crew belong to the Salem United Methodist Church located in the heart of Harlem.  Over the years, through their Gospel and Jazz programs, the Flavorful Crew has provided financial support to the Salem Off The Street After School Program, the Salem Endowment Fund, the Addie Penny Scholarship Fund, the Salem Capital Improvement Fund and the Ebony Voices Community Choir.
